Creating a Category in Joomla
When you create new articles you will notice that the article will be placed in the default Uncategorized category. (See image to the right) To get your articles to show in specific categories you can create categories through the Joomla Dashboard. Below are the steps to create a category inJoomla.
Steps to create a Category Joomla 3.1
- Log into your Joomla Admin Dashboard.
Go to Content > Category Manager > Add New Category.
Enter the Title, Alias, and Description of your new category.
Click Save.
Now you will see the category in your list of categories. Now you will need to assign the Category to the article.
