Once you have installed the Logaholic program into your hosting account, you can then set the path for your logfiles. The instructions below will guide you on how to do that.
Setting your log file path in Logaholic
- Log into the Logaholic dashboard.
- On the main page you will see a list of profiles. Locate the profile you want to work with and click on the Edit Profile link.
- Next, you will see a page with several tabs on it. Click on the Data Collection tab to continue.
- From this page you will see a field named Data Collection Method: along with three options. Select the Log File Analysis (Local File) option.
- Next, locate the field named Log file location:. Enter the path for your log file in your hosting account. Here, we have already created a custom folder named 'access-logs'. The path we entered is '/home/userna5/access-logs/'. Yours can look similar, however the 'userna5' part of the path should be your actual cPanel username.
- Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Save button.
