Malware and viruses are often spread around through email attachments. It is important to block certain file types to help protect your local computer from infection. In this article, we demonstrate how attachments can be restricted easily in the Spam Experts control panel.

  1. Log into your SpamExperts dashboard.
  2. Under the Email Restrictions heading, go to Attachment Restrictions.
  3. Select the extensions you wish to block in the first section.
  4. If you would like to add a custom file extension to block you can do it here. Click add.
  5. In the next section Restriction options, select the restrictions you wish to apply.
  6. Next, under Additional restrictions, select the restrictions you wish to use.
  7. Next, under Current list of scanned link extensions, check any extensions you wish to scan.
  8. Click Save.

You should now be comfortable setting attachment limits in incoming emails in the SpamExperts control panel.
