In this tutorial we will show you how to change a database user's privileges in MySQL Databases, which is in cPanel. For example, you may need to grant full privileges to a database user.
Changing Privileges:
- Login to cPanel.
- Under the Databases section, click the MySQL Databases button.
- Under the Current Databases section, click the user that you want to modify the privileges for. If you do not see the username, you may have to create the database user, and assign it to a database.
- The MySQL Account Maintenance menu will open and allow you to choose the user's privileges. Click the check box next to the privileges you want to grant, or click the ALL PRIVILEGES box to grant full access.
- After making your selections, click the Make Changes button. You will see a notification stating "Their privileges have been updated."
Congratulations, now you know how to successfully update a database users privileges in MySQL Databases!
