The following tutorial is an overview of all of the options that OpenCart provides for its Catalog.  The Catalog in OpenCart is the area in which the products are listed along with information and organization.  Since it is such a broad topic, we will first start with a introduction to the section so that you can quickly become familiar with it.

OpenCart organizes the products in the CATALOGS section.  You will find here:

Products - OpenCart gives you an indepth interface for adding products allowing room for multilingual versions of the list.  Here is the list options for products:

     General
     Data
     Links
     Attribute
     Option
     Discount
     Special
     Image
     Reward Points
     Design

You can  Insert, Copy, Delete products in the PRODUCTS section.

Attributes and Attribute groups - are used together to provide comparison data when comparing products against each other

Attributes - details for your products that can be used to compare against another selected product

Attribute Groups - designated groups for attributes that will be used to describe each product

Categories - used to organize your products into divisions which Opencart labels as "Categories."  Each category includes a General, Data, and Design section

General - Category Name is specified here
Meta Tag Description - short summary of your category's content
Meta tag keywords - summary words describing the content of your category

Downloads - used for products that can be downloaded; allows administrator to set limits on download orders

Information - uses 3 tabs to set the information pages for the website.  Each of the tabs contains specific information for the Information page.  Depending on the tab, the setting may also change the way the page behaves when displayed.

Manufacturers - area where you can set specific brand names of the products you're selling; the tabs allow to set different properties for each:

Options - Gives you the option to allow personalization of a product  during checkout.  Products with options of this nature will also need to have this detail edited in the Products section.  These are the opions available:

Reviews - allows the administrator to manage reviews provided by the users.  By default, the review must be screened by the administrator before it can be seen by the general public
