A common cost for any online store selling goods is the cost of shipping. Identifying your carrier data allows you to track who is shipping your product. The following article explains the carrier distribution statistics report within PrestaShop 1.5.
At the top of the report is the option to filter the results of the report by time. Specifically, the buttons work like this:
DAY | Selects present calendar day |
---|---|
MONTH | Selects present month |
YEAR | Selects present year |
DAY-1 | Brings the report back one day |
MONTH-1 | Brings the report back one month |
YEAR-1 | Brings the report back one year |
Each time you click on these buttons, the data in the date range section will change to match what you have selected.
For specific dates or date ranges, simply click in the FROM field and then type in the date format of YEAR (YYYY)-MONTH(MM)-DAY(DD) and then click in the TO field to enter the end date.
Summary and Explanation of Data
Carrier distribution data is important for your store in that it allows you determine costs for shipping to your customers. Depending on the carrier, you can see how to best control costs as you see how your sales are being delivered. You also need to consider the carrier choices of your customers based on your products. Sometimes only certain carriers can carry your products within a certain area. Depending on your volume, you may be able to use this data to modify your shipping costs. Keep a close eye on your carrier distribution in order to see your customer behavior for carrier choices. This can ultimately help you control your shipping costs.
