The previous guide in our working with Internationalization series covered working with the multilingual setting, we will now show you how to copy a language tree. In Concrete5 the Internationalization Add-on provides additional functionality, such as the language switcher, and a tool that can copy a language tree.
For instance, if you have several pages in one language and want to copy the page structure over to mimic the english site, this tool can help you easily accomplish this. In this tutorial we will show you how to copy a language tree using the Internationalization Add-on in Concrete5.
When you copy a language tree, it will not translate the pages, *it only copies the structure. You can then easily go to the page and translate it, Google Translate is a helpful tool for accomplishing this.
Copying a Language Tree in Concrete5:
My English site has subpages that have not been created in other languages, so I will copy the page tree to the Spanish version of the site. It will only copy pages over that do not already exist.
Now when you view the full sitemap, you will see the pages duplicated.
Congratulations, now you know how to copy a language tree, using the Internationalization Add-On in Concrete5. In the next guide we will show you how to create a multilingual sitemap.
