PHP Extensions are used to extend the base library of PHP to accomplish a particular programmatic goal. The Cpanel now includes a graphic interface where you can install PHP extensions directly from the PHP Extensions and Applications Repository (also called PEAR). There is also a library of extensions called the PHP Extension Community Library (PECL). Each extension from this library that needs to be installed will require that a service ticket be submitted before the installation can occur ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). The following article explains how to use the interface in Cpanel to find and install PHP extensions using the PEAR library.
